I would like to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Tim Steward, I have been in the IT industry for 15 years and messing around with technology for closer to 20 years. I have always had an interest in technology and had to know how things worked. As I got older it wasn't long before I knew that this was what I was meant to do.

I received my first real IT job in the late 90's and as you would imagine there was no on the job training. I had no choice but to figure it out on my own. Shortly after that I decided it was time for me to take some formal training. My first certification was my ComTIA A+ certification. This one was very simple to get as I already had several years’ experience with computer hardware under my belt. Once my A+ cert was in the bag I followed that up by taking the Microsoft Certified System's Engineer (MCSE) course. That course was very challenging. For those that don't know the MCSE certification consists of many different disciplines. In order to get your MCSE you will need to successfully pass a total of 7 exams. I did pass 5 of the seven thus far and received a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.

I have always had the notion to try and do something better and cheaper than what you would find at a bog box store. This really became evident when I was shopping around for 5 high end systems for our programming department. After providing all the specs I was given a quote of nearly $4,000 per machine. To me that was an insane price that we were not going to pay. So I went ahead and started spec’ing out hardware on my own. I provided the specifics to our vendor and they came back with a price of just under $2,000 per machine. To me that was a no brainer. So I ordered the parts and within a few weeks everything was delivered and I assembled them as Henry Ford would in an assembly line.

So in July of this year i have decided to expand on my knowledge and experience with dealing with computer and mobile hardware by starting Steward Technologies. My moto is very simple. Provide a professional product to consumers at a reasonable price. It doesn't matter what type of computer you have. It doesn't matter what mobile device you have. If it is broken don't go out and purchase another. Just give me a call and I can get it fixed for you.
